Cali Plank

While I am not really a longboarder (I have nothing against it, it’s just not my thing), I really enjoy shaping logs. They are works of art and really fun to bring to life.

My “standard” design is a fairly traditional rendition of the classic California plank, with the exception that I usually extend the nose concave a little further up into the middle of the board than most.

The feedback I’ve received so far from surfers who have ridden them on the lake is that they are incredibly smooth.

As always, I can tune this shape to best suit your skill level and preferred surfing style (trim/glide vs. nose riding).

  • Lake: any day, any spot!

    Ocean: 1-3ft and mellow

  • Recommended between 9’0” and 10’0” but I can make them as small as 8’8” and as big as 10’ 6”

  • I like the Greenough 4A from True Ames.
