Hey, I’m Scott.
I’m a mechanical engineer who has spent the better part of the last decade shaping my own surfboards and surfing them all over the world.
The surfboard models you see here on this site are the ones that are certified fun through my travels and the travels of others. However, they are just a starting point for your board — I tune every curve specifically for you and your surfing.
Get in touch and let’s build you a board you’ll be stoked to surf for years to come.
My Quiver:
Tobiko
A twin for every day sessions or trips to exotic locations. It doesn’t matter where I’m going, I never get on an airplane to surf without this board.
Ceylon Single
The Ceylon Single is my ride or die. Part stepup, part midlength, and 100% fun whether it’s peeling or pumping. This is the shape that started it all for me.
Egg
This board reshaped my perspective on what surfing the Great Lakes could be. If I’m surfing at home, I’m usually on one of these.
I personally handshape and glass every surfboard, start to finish.
You should be able to talk to your shaper.
I started shaping because I wanted the shortest path possible to the boards I had in my mind. My goal with Flux is to provide you with the most direct path I can to the board you’re dreaming of.
To do that well, there needs to be space for a conversation.
Whether you have questions about what type of board would be best for your surf spot/level, have an idea for a one-off design, or simply want a different tail shape on one of my models, I’m here to collaborate as much or as little as you’d like throughout the process.
